Growing 182% organic traffic in the Ecommerce Industry

INTRO

We collaborated with Hulken Bag, a US-based E-commerce company with the task of developing a robust organic marketing strategy that would effectively highlight the value proposition of their product to the US E-commerce sector. The client, Hulken Bag, a one-product online B2C shop, aims to help people transport a bigger volume of objects easily. Customers can effortlessly transport their things and luggage thanks to the product this client is selling.

The Problem

The main challenges stemmed from the company’s nascent status. With a new website, the company had yet to establish a strong online presence. Its website was bare, lacking comprehensive content that could drive and sustain visitor engagement. Moreover, there were no backlinks to the site, making it difficult for potential customers to find the company online. The company had previously concentrated its efforts on various other marketing channels but had not yet explored and leveraged the potential of organic content marketing. The primary task, therefore, was to educate the market about the company’s unique product, and grow the topical authority, and strategise smart content marketing to reach the right audience.

The work that was done

Our initial step was to fix the navigation of the site and launch a blog aimed at targeting top-of-the-funnel keywords that bore relevance while broadening the website by adding new landing pages that showcased the different use cases of the product, as well as product variation.

After thoroughly analyzing the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs), we crafted a detailed content strategy designed to engage the audience at every stage of the sales funnel. However, the challenge of low search volumes forced us to become more inventive which led us to infuse the blog with an assortment of PR articles and interviews to keep it fresh.

We were in charge of the content creation every step of the way: from creating briefs and designing page structures with an organic perspective to drafting the content, followed by its ultimate implementation. In addition, we made sure to utilise a solid internal linking strategy.

Results

Organic traffic managed to grow from ~130 clicks a day to 343+ clicks per day. Non-branded traffic went from ~4 clicks a day to 26+ clicks per day. The client successfully enhanced their search engine authority for relevant queries. They now prominently feature in the top #1 search results for their primary solution within the US market, surpassing major competitors such as Amazon, Target, and Walmart, despite these competitors offering a broader product range.
